Bungle In The Jungle Jacket Front

The Legend

BUNGLE IN THE JUNGLE

The Jungle. A place of sweltering mystery, dense green foliage and the cacophony of clamoring shrieks, growls and wails. A place all at once fearsome and wondrously enchanting. Indian Textile Designer Suneetha/Bhaavana’s creation of silk origami and passementerie in lush greens and vivid reds evokes the jungle in all of its steaming and sultry incandescence. Showcased in in shimmering folds of sun-bright fabric and silky leopard satin, the effect is completed by the dew-like sparkle in jewelry designer Ronda Terry’s kiln fired dichroic glass button.

Well, That’s Alright By Me . . .

Susan Hollingsworth

Susan Hollingsworth has always had a knack for storytelling. Her years spent living in countries from Europe to Asia introduced her to the ancient practice of fiber art and the techniques that women used to create visual stories – with thread and fabric – passed down to them from their ancestors. During a stint in London, she studied pattern making from the Central St. Martins College of Art and Design, which became the catalyst for SuKaz jackets. Rather than pen and paper, Susan designs wearable pieces of art, each one telling a unique story through the hands of skilled artisans from cultures around the globe.

Ronda Terry

Multi- talented jewelry artist Ronda Terry works magic in her Michigan studio, conjuring delicacy and beauty from bits of rough metal, raw gemstones, and broken glass. Each of her exquisite creations is forged using caustic chemicals, 1500 degree heat, and a master’s hand. Ronda fashions a range of jewelry, dichroic glass tile, and buttons using techniques of kiln firing, enameling, casting and etching. And each brings its own brand of magic to a Sukaz jacket.
