Blooming Lace Jacket Fullbody

The Legend

BLOOMING LACE

A trell is of luxurious beaded lace curtains a boldly winding spray of fuscia blomms. Indian textile designer Suneetha/Bhaavana employs elements of needle felt, silk origami, beadwork, and chocheting to complete the brilliant design, and finishes it with a complementary button of embroidery and needle tatting.

Veiled in the Cloak of Midnight…

The Designer

Susan Hollingsworth

Susan Hollingsworth

Susan Hollingsworth has always had a knack for storytelling. Her years spent living in countries from Europe to Asia introduced her to the ancient practice of fiber art and the techniques that women used to create visual stories – with thread and fabric – passed down to them from their ancestors. During a stint in London, she studied pattern making from the Central St. Martins College of Art and Design, which became the catalyst for SuKaz jackets. Rather than pen and paper, Susan designs wearable pieces of art, each one telling a unique story through the hands of skilled artisans from cultures around the globe.
